We opened our Collins Place shop in 1982 when we believed the rather quiet ‘Paris’ end of Collins Street was set for a great revival. The Regent Hotel and AMP office towers were being developed at 45 Collins Street and it was clear to us that we should be there, sticking our flag in the dirt, so to speak. We insisted on one position and one only; the corner shop looking onto Collins Street and across the road from the Melbourne Club. We increased our space a few years later and have traded successfully there ever since at the top end of Australia’s most famous shopping boulevard. Our customers come to us from all over the world, as do discerning Melburnians who love the smart, intimate surroundings and great service. Our experienced and knowledgeable manager here is Craig Cochrane.
